Open Source Handbook "A manager's guide to the business and organisational applications of open source technologies"

Take part!

Open source software is developed by the open source community. This is a group of individuals - just like yourself - as well as corporations and government agencies. There are no entry requirements to taking part: just enthusiasm and your own ability.

There are many ways to be involved which are listed in this section:

  • Contribute individually as a developer
  • Work for an organisation that releases open source software
  • Join one of the developer communities
  • Build a project on one of the many "forge" websites
  • Take part in the setting of new open standards
  • Attend a conference
  • Speak at a conference
