Software applications

There are a huge number of open source and free applications available to your organisation for free download on the web. Most distributions of GNU/Linux, too, have a good selection of applications which will meet the needs of most users.

This chapter contains a small selection of other useful applications that you might want to download and use. It is divided into the following sections:
