BSD Licenses
This a family of simple and liberal open source licenses, which generally consist of a copyright notice, three main clauses and a liability waiver clause. The name derives from the software licence for the BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) operating system, which was released by the University of California, USA. There is a template in which you can substitute your own organisations details to produce a new BSD License available on the website of the Open Source Initiative.
